Mommy’s Life | {no bake cookies}

“What one loves in childhood, stays in the heart forever”

Tonight, we made a batch of one of my favorite treats from my childhood: {no bake cookies}. Instantly I was taken back to when I was a kid, sitting on our kitchen countertop watching my mom do what she did best, and waiting patiently for when she’s was finished…so I could clean the spoon! We didn’t realize at the time we were making memories —we were just having fun!

Tonight, when I handed the spoon over to my daughter my heart filled with JOY for getting to pass on this memory to her!

So from our kitchen to yours, I hope this recipe fills your belly and heart with the same happiness it has ours:

{No Bake Cookies}

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 5 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • A spoonful of joy
  • A pinch of gratitude
  • A dash of love
  • Bring to a boil the sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa. Boil for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat. Add PB, oats, and vanilla
  • Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper
  • Let cool (they will harden as they cool)
  • Give your kiddo the spoon to lick and watch her face light up
  • Thank the good Lord for this moment
  • Finally : ENJOY with the ones you love most! ❤️
