Happy Sunday ya’ll! Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and if you are in the Midwest, I hope you are enjoying this weather as much as I am! It’s been a good weekend over on our farm. We are gearing up for Harvest 2017 so having a weekend with my hub was a blessing.
Friday night was a quiet night. We had a surprise visit from our littlest nephew and got in some baby snuggles. Saturday I went to my favorite baby boutique, Hey Little Diddle, and daydreamed like I always do when I’m there and got the cutest little outfit for a baby shower I have today. The first time we stumbled upon Hey Little Diddle it happened to be the same weekend my husband and I had decided that we were going to do whatever it takes to get pregnant. While wandering around the antique mall we came across the store and my husband spotted a onesie that said “Livin the Farm Life” and we both thought how perfect it’d be for our future little farmer. My husband said “write this place down, so you can come back and get this onesie when we get pregnant.” We continued shopping, and at one point went our separate ways, then when we went to check out he placed the onesie on the counter and I looked up at him and said “what’s this for?” And he said “well, I want God to know I’m ready, and I want this to be the first thing I buy our baby.” Then he placed a kiss on the top of my head, and I don’t think, in that moment, I could have loved him more. So every time I look at that onesie, or I go into that store I am filled with HOPE, that despite our wait, one day we will have a sweet miracle of our own—that I can dress in all the adorable clothes from Hey Little Diddle! 😉
Saturday night we went to a vineyard close by with friends before our dinner reservations, but as we went to leave my husband threw out an idea of stopping by the grocery store and grilling out at home instead. We all jumped on that idea, and decided we are officially old married folks. We left the men in charge of the meat and us girls were in charge of the wine and cheese! It was a perfect night, dinner was great, we shared a lot of laughs, and best of all we called it a night before 10.
How different life looks eight years later— but man, I wouldn’t change a thing ❤️
I don’t know about y’all but I’m not ready for this weekend to end!
